Meet The Team…Alex!

Our next superstar is Alex! Our 20 year old Trainee Veterinary Nurse. She was born in Adelaide with a Polish background. Ever since she was little, Alex has always wanted to work with animals. Thanks to her passion and loving to help those in need, she is a perfect fit for our hardworking and caring team.

Alex first started her studies to becoming a Veterinary Nurse back in 2015 when she was still in high school, working through her certificates (cert II and III) to take her to where she is today – a Trainee Veterinary Nurse.

Alex’s main hobby is photography, as she has been practicing photography for 5 years now and runs her own little business on the side – “Gorecki Photography”

She loves taking photos – rain, hail or shine! From automotive, to pets, to weddings!

Even though she does not have any pets of her own at the moment, Alex absolutely loves looking after her partner’s Border Collie named Riley. “She’s so intelligent and energetic, that’s what I love about her breed. She could play ball for hours, unfortunately my arm doesn’t have as much energy as she does!!” says Alex.

As well as being brought up with her love of animals, Alex was also brought up with a passion for cars. Her Dad used to work at the old Holden factory at Elizabeth and when she wasn’t at school Alex would be helping her Dad work on cars. “I think this really helped my love for photography take off as I started taking photos of cars before moving on to bigger topics.” relays Alex.

When not in the clinic, Alex will most likely be found on the side of a race track taking photos of cars or running around capturing someone’s wedding day. Nothing makes her happier than being able to be a part of someone’s special day, puppies, newborn moments and capturing photos that people will treasure forever.

“The best part of working with animals would have to be getting to see such cute patients daily! I love when we have puppies come into the clinic with their cute bouncy personalities but I also love when we have old sick patients come in. Being able to send them home at the end of the day feeling 110% better makes my day.” – we couldn’t agree more!

Pop in to say hi to Alex at your next appointment or come in to see what other pet goodies and treats we have on offer.
